Fragments of lava seen on the surface of El Hierro, Spain

                

El Hierro is still shaking vigorously. Lava fragments have large surfaced during the last hours in the vicinity of the Canary island of El Hierro as a result of submarine volcano just over three months erupted near the fishing village of La Restinga.

Some of the lava fragments that have come near the island have more than three meters long and violently explode before sinking, announced today in a statement the Canary Islands Government.

The most violent demonstrations took place earlier in the day. Finally, 12.00 hours on the issue began to decline in area and in the afternoon was observed only slight bubbling ring.

From the boat Salvamar Adhara, Maritina Rescue, have collected some of these fragments.
